Doon Christian School students sing Christmas carols for a family in the conference room at Promise Community Health Center before blessing them with a large supply of gifts that they had collected for them during the Christmas season. SIOUX CENTER – Students from Doon Christian School shared the spirit of Christmas. They generously collected gifts to bless a family going through a difficult situation – with the mother undergoing continued treatment for a brain tumor, the father working only limited hours as he cares for his wife and the medical bills accumulating. The 16 students, along with teachers and parents, delivered the gifts to Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center and gave them to the family on Wednesday. Theresa Buley has assumed the role of dental coordinator at Promise Community Health Center. Serving at Promise fits with her passion for helping out others. She has assumed the role of dental coordinator at the health center. “I have a passion to help people – working with others to help them achieve their goals,” she said. “I desire to do good for others, and I think Promise is committed to that as well.” Theresa grew up in St. James, MN, and attended St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She then served as a quality analyst at Carlson Marketing Group in Plymouth, MN, 1998-2006; church services director for Youth Encounter in Roseville, MN, 2006-07; donor services director for The Salvation Army in Roseville, 2007-17; and office manager at Town & Country Implement in Rock Valley, IA, 2017-18.
